Senior UX Designer + Researcher

We’re looking for a talented and skilled Senior User Experience Designer and Researcher to join our experienced collective of dynamic UX and digital transformation experts. Must be senior and driven enough to manage and elevate your own work, share deliverables with senior-level stakeholders, and continually produce insightful and relevant work that creates impact. You will support projects end-to-end, bringing fresh thinking and professional execution from strategy to design. Throughout, you’ll collaborate with our team of like-minded pros who want to create deeper customer connections.
What responsibilities you’ll take on:
Plan and execute UX initiatives from discovery through design and prototyping. Effectively and fluidly translate findings into actionable strategy and concrete design(s).
Develop plans for and conduct UX Research and other discovery stage techniques including: competitive analysis, usability testing, ethnographic research, contextual inquiry, workshops, etc.
Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from applicable sources including interviews, usability test sessions, surveys, card sorting, secondary research, etc.
Draft usability test plans and set up tests using provided software tools (such as UserTesting.com).
Review, evaluate, distill, and synthesize data to uncover issues, identify trends, and provide insights.
Package findings, insights and recommendations into reports, presentations, and/or other outputs as needed.
Create beautiful designs and artifacts that support a user-centered design process such as flows, personas, service blueprints, and user journeys.
Designs wireframes, design specs and/or mock-ups that can be translated into prototypes and/or code by a developer.
Collaborate and coordinate with developers, product owners, and other project SMEs to create a working prototype.
Iterate and enhance designs, prototypes or other outputs along with the project team to create viable prototypes.
Collaborate with lead and/or co-facilitators in the discovery + research process to identify workshop outputs, participants profiles, and needs.
Support the workshop planning process by working closely with IXP research and client teams to define workshop agendas, meeting flows, activities, and exercises needed to reach desired outcomes.
Facilitate and/or co-facilitate activities and work closely with lead/co-facilitators to adapt and shape time and activities on the fly.
What we’re looking for:
6+ years of UX experience.
Experience with creating and documenting information design concepts and solutions by various means, including wireframes, prototypes, and task flow diagrams.
2+ years experience in both primary and secondary UX research techniques, such as: contextual inquiry, observational studies, card sorting, usability testing, heuristic analysis, surveys, interviews, etc.
High proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud products, Sketch, Figma, InVision, XD, Mural or Miro, etc.
2+ years of Service Design experience or using Service Design methods and processes preferred.
Strong Visual Design skills and experience is required.
Experience developing wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes.
Ability to recommend the best user experience possible while considering technical feasibility and business goals.
Experience in accessibility particularly in service design is highly desired.
Experience working in an agile environment.
BA or BS degree.
